Since the release of her debut album, Sorry, MYERS has received critical acclaim and earned a devoted legion of fans. The album spawned the Alternative Radio hits “Desire” and “Sorry” and lead to appearances on The Tonight Show, Last Call with Carson Daly, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and more. She solidified her stature at the pinnacle of the Indie/Alternative genre with her follow-up album, Take Me To The Disco, which featured the prominent single “Numb.” MYERS quickly followed up with the blockbuster success of her chart-topping cover of Kate Bush’s 1985 classic, “Running Up That Hill.” Originally performed during an NPR Tiny Desk Concert, the song made history by ascending to #1 on Billboard’s “Alternative Songs” airplay chart 42 weeks after its official release. The cover also reached #1 on Billboard’s “Rock Airplay” chart in its 29th week.
As MYERS moves forward toward the release of her forthcoming album, she feels guided by a radiant clarity of purpose and a newly discovered understanding of her distinct role as an artist. She is a multi-dimensional being with many forms of expression and a shape-shifting embodiment and evolution, which is reflected throughout her new music. “I realized that everything I’ve gone through is part of my mission to do things differently and create something that helps others,” MYERS stated. “My ultimate direction for my music is human collective healing and freedom from the past so that we can create a more unified future.”
